The MoonLit Getaway Grand Opening Contest

is now accepting submissions.

CATEGORIES

Visual Art

Flash Fiction

Poetry

PRIZES

$100 (USD) will be awarded to the winner of each category. The winner and two runners-up from each category will be featured on our website and published in our Fall Anthology.

DEADLINE

August 1, 2024

REGIONS

North America and the United Kingdom

DECISION 

Winners will be selected by an honorary judge of each category and announced on September 23, 2024. 

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES 

VISUAL ART: high resolution, one image only

FLASH FICTION: any genre, 1000-word max, one story only

POETRY: 60-line max, one poem only

HOW TO SUBMIT

Send your submission as an attachment (.doc or .docx format / PDF for visual art only) to info@MoonLitGetaway.com

Title the attachment: SubmissionTitle_ContestCatagory (Example: DeathOnRotation_FlashFiction)

Include a cover letter in the body of your submission email and a bio written in the third person (60 words max)

Submissions that do not win the MoonLit Getaway Grand Opening Contest will still be considered for regular publication on our website, as well as in our Fall Anthology.

 

We accept simultaneous submissions; however, please notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere. If your submission is long-listed, you will be asked to withdraw your simultaneous submissions to remain on the list.

If you submit to this contest, you will begin receiving our quarterly newsletter, which you may unsubscribe from at any time. Please say so in your cover letter if you do not wish to receive the newsletter.

We request first publication rights, after which Copyright returns to the contributor. We also request the right to keep an accepted submission on our site for at least one year following initial publication. After the one-year period, contributors may request it be removed; otherwise, it will remain on the site. 

MoonLit Getaway volunteers, partners, associates, and contractors are not eligible for submission.
