Particles of Living
Diane Webster
Stuck to me like beach sand;
like static cling that pet hair
electrifies to my body as if my own;
like smell of smoke weaving tendrils
through fabric threads sniffed
at odd moments as a wisp of memory;
like fog padding isolation around me
in solitude sight yet hearing others
stumble nearby in landmarkless destinations.
