Madara Tropa (1987, Latvia) graduated from the National University of the Arts “La Esmeralda” in Mexico City and received an MFA degree from The Art Academy of Latvia. She has participated in group exhibitions at Pier-2 Art Center in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, Winzavod Contemporary Art Center in Moscow, Russia, Equity Gallery in New York, Mexico City Museum, Toluca Museum of Modern Art, etc. . Her artworks oscillate between fiction and reality, searching for her deepest understanding of being. In her paintings, Madara transforms visions of places and natural elements into a meditative journey, where contemplation and memory are the main keywords.
