Morning Fight
Erin Jamieson
It’s just some fog, you say-
as if this is a test of your driving
or your ability to make good decisions
unlike the one you made the week before
room service for two, champagne & steak-
I’m not sure if I’m angrier it was for her or
that you spent money we needed for our
electric and internet bills
Fine, I tell you, spearing a pancake
syrup drips over the table we bought
from a garage sale, a year into our marriage
But if we get into a crash,
I say,
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
